YouTube expands the access of mobile live-streaming feature to all the creators with more than 10,000 subscribers. The mobile live-streaming feature was rolled out last year in June.

Earlier the access of this feature was limited to selected partners only. But, now if you are a YouTube Creator having more than 10K subscribers, then you can go live from your mobile device.

The Product managers of YouTube Barbara Macdonald and Kurt Wilms announced the expansion of mobile live-streaming in a blog post, “Mobile live streaming has been built directly into the YouTube mobile app. All you have to do to start streaming is open YouTube, hit the capture button, and you’re live! Streamed videos will have all the same features as regular YouTube videos. They can be searched for, found via recommendations or playlists, and protected from unauthorized use. Our mobile live streaming uses YouTube’s rock-solid infrastructure, meaning it’ll be fast and reliable, just the YouTube you know and love.”

The functioning will remain the same, as you can enable or disable live chat, set a custom title and choose to send a notification to all your subscribers. You can either broadcast in portrait or landscape and the text messages will appear on your screen in the form of fast-moving bubbles.

With the help of this feature, creators will be able to share their thoughts and creativity in an effective manner through live streaming from their mobile. The access to this feature will be rolled to rest of the users soon.
