Twitter has launched an audio-only live streams feature for its Periscope platform.
“Sometimes you just want to talk, without being on camera. We’re launching audio-only broadcasting, so your followers can hear, but not see you.”

It’s currently available on the Twitter for iOS app, as well as on Periscope.
To use the “audio-only broadcast” option, users need to update their app and just tap “Go Live” button on the compose screen.
As with live video, analytics for audio broadcasts include the number of live viewers, replay viewers, average listening time, and more as shown in a tweet from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey:
Looking forward to what folks do with this https://t.co/273orcivil
