TikTok, the short-form video app has got 1 billion downloads across Android and iOS.

But, the more interesting news is that it had more downloads against Instagram in 2018.

As per the data released by SensorTower, the app analytics site, the billion figure has not included Android installs from China.

So it’s likely that the total number of downloads is even higher than what was reported.

So, it could be possible that the total number of downloads would be higher against the number reported.

Approx 663 million out of 1 billion TikTok’s download came in 2018.

Comparing TikTok’s to Instagram’s downloads, the latter has 444 million.

It was the fourth most-downloaded non-game app for 2018, after WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Facebook.

SensorTower reports that the momentum of TikTok’s download has risen in 2019. It was number 3 app globally in January in terms of new installs across iOS and Android.

Apart from such credentials, it was the #1 non-game app in the USA in January 2019.

SensorTower reports 25% of TikTok’s downloads till today have come from India. Also, in January 2019, 43% of new user’s traffic was from India.
