Cab aggregator Ola on Monday announced that its mobile wallet, Ola Money, will be soon enabled as a payment method on Oyo Rooms, Lenskart, Saavn, Zopper, BusIndia, and Zoomin.
This follows the company’s forays into food and grocery delivery with Ola Cafe and Ola Store earlier this year.Ola Money users will also be offered promotional cash-backs and discounts from merchants in the initial roll out integration.
Ola currently claims to have 20 million customers on its platform and claims to be among the top 3 mobile wallets in India by transaction volume. Ola also claims that its wallet witnesses ‘high frequency usage and recharge’.
With Ola Money, customers can use the wallet’s one-touch checkout experience outside the Ola platform, taking away the hassle of one time passwords and multi-layer authentications.
Ola claims that with an average wallet balance of Rs 1,000, Ola Money is the most preferred payment option across Ola’s transport services of cabs, autos, kaali-peeli taxis, Ola Cafe (food delivery) and Ola Store (grocery delivery).
