The professional network has launched a new feature called ‘Trending Storylines’ on March 22, 2017.

It is a curated interest-based feed which surfaces news, ideas, stories based on the topics you are likely to be interested in.

LinkedIn continue to build its growth with Trending Storylines. The additional abilities the feature offers are as follows:

  • Developing Stories: stories you will see in your personalized feed will all be the trending ones according to what the platforms know about you like from which industry you belong.
  • Dive deep and learn more: each storyline can be further discovered to learn and explore more about the story.
  • Multiple perspectives on each and every story: every story has diverse perspectives which range from news publishers and influencers so that you can get diverse opinions. For example, if you work as an engineer, you may see a perspective shared by a renowned engineer or a post shared by someone you follow.
  •  Unique hashtags to join the conversation: every story will have a unique hashtag associated with it which makes it easier for you to join the conversation. And you can also add your issue in it and see the perspectives of other users.

Under the Trending tab, you’ll be able to find Trending Storylines on your mobile home screen. And, on the desktop it will appear on the top right of the homepage.

Trending Storylines have rolled out in the U.S. in English and it will be expanding soon to other countries too.
