Instagram has introduced three new features to Stories on November 10, 2016. These new additions make the app stand out.

The three latest features are allowing links, Boomerang content and @ mentions. Instagram is testing the links feature by only allowing verified accounts to avail the change. Rest of the changes will be available to all the Instagram account holders.

With the addition of links, a hyperlink can be added in the individual story. When users will tap on the link, they will be directed to the website within the app. Brands can advertise their products with the help of Instagram stories by adding links into it. The user will have to tap on see more to know further. This new addition can help media publications to straightaway link users to the articles from their story.

Another interesting addition is in Boomerang, feature added by Instagram last year. This feature allows you to make videos with up to five photos which will be played on a continuous loop. Earlier people have to install the app for using this feature but now they can access it within the app by swiping right to use Boomerang mode. You should take a note that this will only work with Stories.

Mentions in stories will work the same way, it used to work in comments by adding @ with the username. Now, you can tag up to 10 users in your stories no matter it is a photo or a video. The mentions in the stories can be tapped to direct you to the user’s profile.

The unique features are accessible from today onwards. Now you can create more interesting and attractive stories with Instagram.
