Fabric and Firebase operate mobile platforms with unique strengths in the market today. We’re excited to combine these platforms together to make the best mobile developer platform in the world for app teams.”
And, Francis Ma, Firebase product manager added in a blog post, “Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve signed an agreement to acquire Fabric to continue the great work that Twitter put into the platform. Fabric will join Google’s Developer Product Group, working with the Firebase team. Our missions align closely: Help developers build better apps and grow their business.”
During the transition period, Digits will continue to work under Twitter. By passing the platforms to Google, Twitter is trying to slim down and get into a better financial state.
