Google rolled out a series of updates this week to click-to-call ads. The updates include account-level call extensions, new design for ads, and new reporting capabilities.
Account-level Call Extensions
The updated feature will be rolled out this week. With this advertisers will be able to set up call extensions on a larger scale. They will be able to implement call extensions to their entire account, instead of just ‘ad group level’ or ‘campaign’.
New Design for Click-to-call Ads
To help consumers contact advertisers more easily it is improving the ad experience. Google began testing this feature last year and now rolling out it to all the advertisers worldwide. In this new design, only the business name and phone number will appear. To enhance call ratings, it will continue to test new design for these ads.
New Reporting Capabilities
Google will soon be adding new details to the keyword and ad copy reports. It will include additional two details that are columns for ‘Phone calls’ and ‘Phone impressions’ to provide advertisers a more clear view of the call performances. So, that they get to know about the area where they need to make the improvement.
Google shared in their official blog post, “We hope these new updates to click-to-call setup, ad experiences and reporting will help you ring in 2017 with great calls performance.
