Google AdWords app has brought a new update to let advertisers add, remove, and edit keywords from their mobile device.

Advertisers now can manage the keyword list for any of their campaigns and also get new ideas for keywords and see a forecast of how the keywords will perform.

Steps to add keywords

  • From the Overview screen, scroll down and tap Keywords.
  • Tap the plus button Add button (plus button FAB).png.
  • Select a campaign, then an ad group for your new keyword.
  • Tap + add a keyword.
  • Enter a word or phrase as your keyword, and then choose the right keyword match type.
  • Tap the checkmark Checkbox.
  • Tap Save, or to continue adding keywords to the same ad group, tap + Add a keyword.

To edit keywords

  • From the Overview screen, scroll down and tap Keywords.
  • Tap the keyword you want to edit.
  • From here, you can change the keyword or the match type.

To remove keywords

  • From the Overview screen, scroll down and tap Keywords.
  • Tap the keyword you want to remove, and then tap the trashcan. You’ll be asked to confirm before the keyword is removed.

Forecast your keyword performance

  • From the Overview screen, scroll down and tap Campaigns.
  • Select a campaign. (Forecasting is only available for campaigns using manual CPC.)
  • Scroll down and tap Keywords.
  • Tap the plus button Add button (plus button FAB).png, then select an ad group.
  • Tap + add a keyword.
  • Enter a word or phrase as your keyword, and then choose the match type.
  • Tap the checkmark Checkbox.
  • Tap See estimated impact. The results will tell you how the keywords you’re about to add might affect your campaign (impressions, clicks, and cost) next month.

Keywords can also be edited and removed from the Keywords section. Tap on the keyword you want to edit or remove, then you can either edit it or send it to the trash can. The updated AdWords app is available now from the iOS App Store and Google Play.
