Earlier, the facility of reply was available only on the GMB app or the GMB website.

The feature would be helping businesses to reply when they view their listings in Google Maps.

As per guidelines, business profiles have to be verified in order to reply to reviews.

Along with this feature, Google has also made changes in its accompanying help document by adding tips for replying negative reviews.

Google reminds businesses that negative reviews don’t come as a result of bad business practices.

The customer may not find their expectations fulfilled and responding to the review can help the business know how to perk up the experience.

  • Don’t attack the reviewer or share personal information with them. Rather suggest contacting you directly.
  • Find out the reasons for the negative reviews of the customer about your business.
  • Take responsibility for the mistakes you made, but not for you’ve not committed.
