Facebook-Made-a-Minor-Change-to-Its-Website

Facebook has made a minor change to its desktop interface, one that most of you might not even notice until it’s pointed out to you. The globe-shaped notification icon in the top pane now revolves to show the region users are logging in from.

Earlier, the icon used to only show the Americas section of the globe irrespective of the place you are logging in from. But now, you will see a view of the Eastern Hemisphere if you are logging in from Asia, Africa, or Europe. Although small, but the change certainly adds a nice touch of personalization.

Facebook has yet not made any announcement about the change to the globe notification icon and it seems as if it will not either. In fact, it is also not precisely known when the social networking giant rolled-out the minor update to users.

However, the Facebook team told Tech in Asia, “This is just one small example of how we’re always working to personalize people’s Facebook experience.”
