Facebook-launches-bandwidth-targeting-for-high-growth-countries

Facebook now allows advertisers to target users by their mobile network type 2G, 3G or 4G. This move by the social networking giant will allow advertisers to customize Facebook experience while respecting the device bandwidth and data costs.

According to Facebook this move is going to be highly beneficial for those targeting the countries with high-growth, where limited data plans and feature phones are common.

The company points out the “click to missed call” campaign launched India as an example of building of a product for cultural behavior.

“Now, we’re working on how we can make the experience of the marketer reaching a person to be the best experience, no matter what kind of device a person is using, from any access speed. This is key across the globe, but especially in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, India, where devices and bandwidth connections are often lowest common denominator,” says the social network in a release.
