Facebook in a wake of leveling up its stories feature has brought some improvements, an augmented reality (AR) drawing tool and Instagram’s popular Boomerang feature in its mobile app.
Using the 3D drawing feature, users now can make doodles on the screen and combine the drawings with the real world. Users can draw scribbles before or during recording and then, move the camera around to see the markings stay in place.
Facebook users can access this feature by tapping the camera icon, just as they would when taking a regular photo or video. While in camera mode there will be an icon near the top that looks like squiggly lines. You simply need to tap that icon and start drawing.
In addition to 3D AR drawings, Users can create Facebook stories with Instagram’s popular Boomerang feature which is a 3-second looping video without sound.
John Barnett, Product Manager at Facebook Camera, even said that the Social Media giant will be releasing more similar options over the coming months.
With the updates introduced, Facebook is making efforts towards encourage more & more people into its Stories.
