If you are traveling through train and suddenly the internet pack of your mobile runs out then no need to be disappointed. Now you will be able to take advantage of free Wi-Fi at selected railway station. World’s longest Gorakhpur Junction platform is equipped with free Wi-Fi service.
A total of 19 other cities in the country are now in the list, where passengers are getting free high-speed internet access. More than 1.5 million people use Google’s free high speed Wi-Fi Internet service.
The service has recently been started at Gorakhpur Junction, Lucknow Junction, Lucknow and Sealdah railway station.
According to Google, to provide cheap and accessible broadband Internet access in the country is still a challenge. Within a week after the launch of Wi-Fi service in central Mumbai, a million people were connected to it. The number is increasing rapidly after other stations getting the Wi-Fi service.
Free Wi-Fi at these stations now: Mumbai Central, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Raipur, Vijayawada, Kanchigudha, Ernakulam Junction, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Patna, Ranchi, Guwahati, Ujjain, Allahabad, Gorakhpur Junction, Lucknow Junction, Lucknow and Sealdah.
