Indian startups raised $8,703 million in FY 2015-16, according to DSIM Research. Around 1056 startups got funded in this FY [2015-16]. This year e-commerce has leveled with technology as the most favoured funding sector.

[Q1 2015-16]: 207 deals! $1840 million disclosed funding plus millions of dollar undisclosed funding. Quarter 1 2015-16 saw 207 deals of startup funding in which Ola Cabs topped with highest amount of funding which approx. $400 million was followed by Quikr ($150 million) and Ecom Express ($137 million). Other startups that gathered most amount of funding included Foodpanda ($100 million), Delhivery ($85 million), Flipkart ($50 million) etc. The total funding for the month was counted to be more than $1840 million plus millions of amount as undisclosed funding.

[Q2 2015-16]: 284 deals! $4069 million disclosed funding plus millions of dollar undisclosed funding. Quarter 2 of FY 2015-16 saw 284 deals of startup funding in which Flipkart topped with highest amount of funding which approx. $700 million was followed by Paytm ($680 million) and Snapdeal ($500 million). Other startups that gathered most amount of funding included Ola Cabs ($225 million), Oyo Rooms ($100 million), Saavn ($100 million) etc. The total funding for the month was counted to be more than $4069 million plus millions of amount as undisclosed funding.

[Q3 2015-16]: 272 deals! $1460 million disclosed funding plus millions of dollar undisclosed funding. Quarter 3 of FY 2015-16 saw 272 deals of startup funding in which Ola Cabs topped with highest amount of funding which approx. $500 million was followed by Chillr ($70 million) and Netmeds ($50 million). Other startups that gathered most amount of funding included Fasoos ($30 million), Urban Clap ($25 million), Citrus Payment ($25 million) etc. The total funding for the month was counted to be more than $1460 million plus millions of amount as undisclosed funding.

[Q4 2016-17]: 293 deals! $1340 million disclosed funding plus millions of dollar undisclosed funding. Quarter 3 of FY 2015-16 saw 293 deals of startup funding in which Snapdeal topped with highest amount of funding which approx. $200 million was followed by MakeMyTrip ($180 million) and BigBasket ($150 million). Other startups that gathered most amount of funding included CarTrade ($145 million), Byju’s ($75 million), Hopscotch ($13 million) etc. The total funding for the month was counted to be more than $1460 million plus millions of amount as undisclosed funding.
