Yessettle.com, a platform that enables the user to initiate the process of settlement of any dispute (except non-compoundable criminal case) which the user might have with any other party anywhere in the world and the Platform further helps the users with its support in resolving the disputes through an online mediator.

So, it is an innovative method to resolve such disputes, online. Rather than taking the dispute to a court, many disputes can be tried to be resolved on YesSettle Platform.

Q1. Hi, Rajinder! Welcome to DSIM. You are a part of the startup culture in India. How did you come up with the unique concept of online settlement platform for “Yessettle.com”?

Ans. As during my 22 years of legal practice, I noticed that most of the litigation can be avoided by the parties if they have a proper and comfortable atmosphere to resolve their conflicts like home to sit together and to find a midway solution.

One of my client’s daughter (who was U.S resident) matrimonial dispute matter was pending in Chandigarh courts and the court directed the parties to present before the Mediation Centre (where the mediators are Advocates) on fixed date and he came to India for 15 days to attend the Mediation proceeding with the intention to resolve the matter but nothing fruitful came out from the 5 to 6 meetings in the Mediation.

During his visit, he spent approx. 3 lakhs rupees for said purpose and several hours in Court Mediation Centre. Then the said idea struck my mind.

Q2. Unique Idea Rajinder. How has your journey been till now? What are some of the challenges faced and the lessons learnt?

Ans. I just stay focused on my plan with positive attitude and It took 2-3 months to do research work on the concept to give the shape to concept, then I took the services of an expert designer to fulfill the same and it took about 8 to 9 month for developing the said concept and who during development also became the part of my organization.

Q3. Coming towards brand promotion, how do you advertise your business? What does digital marketing do for your business?

Ans. Presently, focusing on Blogging as it is a great way to demonstrate your work and build relationships with prospective users and also can give a big boost to your SEO.

Q4. So, what are plans of Yessettle going forward?

Ans. We are targeting Banks for settlement of their loan accounts as there are several Lakhs of N.P.A accounts in banks in India and Abroad. Also, To tie up with the Insurance companies and Companies. Our plan over the next year is to launch this platform in other countries and also focusing on to bring more users on the platform and provide them best quality services to tie up with the Banks, Insurance companies and Companies.

Q5. Rajinder, How important is the education for an entrepreneur?

Ans. Education is important for an entrepreneur as it allows one to create a better vision to fulfill. I’m not even talking about academics here.

Hence, Education… Some of the world’s top entrepreneurs in the world started their business after dropping out of higher education.

Q6. Share a quote that inspires you the most?

Ans. My mother said to me, “If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the pope, Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso. –Pablo Picasso.

Q7. So, before we finish it up, one last question. What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs?

Ans. Have a plan, stay focused. Just do it and follow your passion.
