Summary: Bengaluru-based DriveU is India’s most popular on-demand private drivers service provider. It lets you become a driving partner on our platform and earn by driving our customers’ cars.

It has raised venture round of funding from the Silicon Valley-based Stevens Creek Ventures.

Future Planning: The startup plans to deploy the funds to combine its position in the existing markets and to new locations. Moreover, it will also help DriveU to move closer to the breakeven.

2) INTECH

Founded: 2012

Founder: Sridhar Balaram

Funding raised: Undisclosed

Summary: Bengaluru-based INTECH is among the pioneers in metal 3D printing in India and already supplies software solutions for DMG’s selective laser melting machines, among others.  It has raised funding from DMG MORI for a 30% stake in the company.

Future Planning: DMG MORI AG is looking to strengthen its global footprint in India and accelerating its innovation in additive manufacturing. The company is aggressively pushing ahead with integrated solutions along the whole generative manufacturing process chain.

3) Fresh Rooms

Founder: Ashutosh Giri

Summary: Delhi-based sanitation startup Fresh Rooms is world’s first-of-its-kind model of the pay-and-use washroom, which promises a luxurious and hygienic space to freshen up with added advantages of Café, Luggage room, rest rooms, etc. It has raised its fresh funding from an undisclosed angel investor

Future Planning: Funding will be used to expand the brand to the key cities and busiest destinations of the country.

Summary: Bengaluru-based omnichannel retail tech startup Perpule is a self-checkout product for retail outlets to improve the shopping experience of the customers.

It has raised funding in its Series A funding from Prime Venture Partners, Kalaari Capital and Venture Highway.

Future Planning: The startup plans to use the Series A funding for major expansion into thousands of retail outlets across 10 cities in the next year.

6) Hoi Foods

Summary: Gurugram-based comfort food company Hoi Foods is India’s first hotel dedicated food brand which promises great in room dining experience in budget hotels

It has raised funding in its Pre Series A round led by 1Crowd with the participation of other investors including Gemba Capital and Prime Holdings.

Future Planning: The firm plans to use funds for geographical expansion and building a more integrated food solution in the backend.
