1) HealthyfyMe founded by Tushar Vashisht, Mathew Cherian and Sachin Shenoy: Health and fitness app HealthifyMe has raised $6 million in Series A funding from IDG Ventures India, Inventus Capital and Blume Ventures. With the raised fund, the company plans to invest in its technology and product to further develop its digital coaching platform and to accelerate growth in India.
2) Zarget founded by Arvind Parthiban, Naveen Venkat and Santhosh Kumar: A Chennai-based SaaS startup has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from Global venture capital firms Accel Partners and Matrix Partners and CEO of Freshdesk Girish Mathrubootham.
3) Swiggy founded by Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy and Rahul Jaimini: The digital food ordering platform has raised $7 million from its existing investors, Accel Partners, DST Global and Norwest Venture Partners. In January 2016, the company had raised $35 million in the Series C funding round through Harmony Partners Investments Ltd. and RB Investments Pvt. Ltd. The company plans to use the raised amount to expand its operations in the eight cities that it operates in.
4) Zenify founded by Sudarshan Purohit, Kailash Rathi and Ankur Agarwal: Home aggregator and rental management start-up has raised funding in pre Series A of worth $900K. The company will use the raised funds to further expand their range of services in India and strengthen its team to complement their capabilities.
5) Faircent founded by Rajat Gandhi and Mathews: This Peer to peer lending startup has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A round of funding led by JM Fiancial Ltd subsidiary which has picked up 9.8% stake in the company. Existing investors Aarin Capital Partners and other individual investors have also co-invested in the round. The capital will be utilized by the company to build technology and product apart from hiring a team to strengthen the play.
6) Unacademy founded by Roman Saini and Gaurav Munjal: This Education technology platform has raised $500K led by Blume Ventures along with a clutch of angels including Google’s Rajan Anandan, CommonFloor founder Sumit Jain and redBus founder Phanindra Sama, among others.
7) Capital Float founded by Sashank Rishyasringa and Gaurav Hinduja: This online lending platform has raised $25 million in Series B round led by Creation Investments Capital Management with participation from existing investors including SAIF Partners, Sequoia India, and Aspada. The fresh round of funding will be used by Capital Float to expand its lending footprint to over 20,000 SMEs in over 100 cities and introduce new products.
8) Dream Wallet founded by Nikhil Agrawal and Manish Harodia: Jaipur-based crowd-funding platform Dream Wallets has secured an undisclosed amount of funding in seed round led by Rakesh Gupta and Aditya Aggarwal. Other investors who participated in this round included Siddharth Banerjee, Vikas Ranjan, Anshul Jindal, Sunil Koul, and Sanjeev Agrawal.
9) ShabdaNagari founded by Amitesh Mishra: Hindi social networking portal Shabda Nagari has raised an undisclosed amount of bridge funding from ah! Ventures. The company plans to utilize the newly raised capital for its product development, marketing and promotional activities.
10) Galleri5 founded by Rahul Rengulapat and Movin Jain: This startup has raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding led by Redbus founder Phanindra Sama and TaxiForSure founder Raghunandan G. The funds were received in October 2015 and are being utilized for content development, hiring talent, marketing strategies, and talent acquisition. The portal is a community for visual content discovery.

11) Locus founded by Nishith Rastogi and Geet Garg: Logistics management platform Locus has raised $2.75 million in Series A funding led by Exfinity Venture Partners with participation from Blume Ventures, BeeNext and Rajesh Ranavat and existing investors. The funds will be used to strengthen its technology offerings and expand the team.
12) InnoNano founded by T Pradeep: This Research company has raised $18 million funding from NanoHoldings, an energy and water investment specialist firm.
13) Fractal founded by Srikanth Velamakanni and Pranay Agrawal: Data analytics company Fractal Analytics, founded in 2000, has raised $100 million from Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah in one of the largest investments in the technology ecosystem in 2016. The investment will value the US and India-based company at close to $300 million. The company will use the fund to accelerate its growth, investing in areas like artificial intelligence (AI) to snag Fortune 500 clients.
E-Commerce Industry
14) E commerce Rentickle founded by Amit Sodhi and Vineet Chawla: This lifestyle rental start-up venture has raised an angel round of $250K from industry veterans Manish Kheterpal, Mr Vinay Mittal, Mr Dinesh Mittal, and Mr Sandeep Gupta. The company started its service in November 2015 and in a short period of 6 months, it has serviced diverse clients from various walks of life- students, young professionals, newly married couples, expats and large corporate houses.
15) E commerce Schoolwear founded by Ketan Zaveri and Amit Zaveri: This online platform to sell school uniforms and supplies has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from the promoters of Mumbai-based publishing firm Navneet Education Ltd. The startup will mainly use the funds to launch a range of school products including uniforms, footwear and accessories across 500 schools in 15 cities by the end of this year.

17) Zebroads founded by Chandra Shekhar: Online logistics and warehousing startup Zebroads has raised $75K in seed funding from a group of unnamed investors. The Hyderabad-based startup will utilize the raised money to increase its warehousing capacity and to add more logistics partners to its network. Founded in 2012, the company offers logistics and warehousing facilities to SMEs that cannot afford the services of large logistic providers.
18) Derbii founded by Gaurav Sinsinwar and Prasenjit Singh and Akash Chaudhary: Cab pooling app Derbii has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Accenture managing director Anurag Chauhan. The company will use the raised fund to improve its technology, get more users, and increase the number of cabs on the road. The Derbii app is focused on providing carpooling services for office-goers in Delhi NCR.

19) Life Circle founded by Srinivas Kollipara: Health Services, a Hyderabad based home nursing and professional care giving service provider has raised an investment of $150K from GROUPE SOS, Europe’s leading senior healthcare service provider. The raised fund will help the company deepen its services in the Hyderabad market as well as expand to the Delhi NCR.
